Pretty much all boys are fascinated with dinosaurs at some point in their youth. So much so that almost all the dinosaur movies that have ever come out were extremely popular. Since there is such a plethora of dinosaur merchandise available, it is fairly easy to obtain various party favors such as stickers or art books and the like. There are also a large sum of products such as dinosaur print napkins and paper plates to aid not only with the décor but also the clean up process. You should have very little trouble coming up with dinosaur themed meal ideas; however here are a few suggestions
Roar for the Dinosaur party menu! It’s the tastiest in the land. You can easily put together a dainty menu for the herbivores and a meaty buffet for the carnivores all at once. A great start to your Dinosaur party menu is a Wild Greens Salad, made up with some packaged lettuce mix, and a few additions like Radicchio, Dandelion, and even Mint or Oregano for a hint of interesting flavor. Look around at the local supermarket and you’ll be surprised what you find. Move on to a veggie tray with zesty ranch or Italian dressing dipping sauce. If you like your veggies cooked make up a tray of grilled veggies with a cheese dipping sauce. For the meat eating dinosaurs try some unique and interesting meats. An Ostrich steak is something your guests will never forget. There are also, alligator steaks, snake meat, shark fin soup, bison meats and even eels! All of which will be unique to the party.
An easy Wild Greens Salad recipe is a vitamin packed festival for any Dinosaur party. You’ll need; a packaged lettuce mix, fresh mint leaves, fresh peppermint, mandarin oranges, almonds and strawberry vinaigrette. This is an interesting and refreshing treat for the party. Wash the mint and peppermint. Remove the leaves from the stems. Place leaves in a bowl with the packaged lettuce. Toss. Open can of mandarin oranges or peel two fresh mandarin oranges. For the can of mandarin oranges pour the juice into a cup on the side and save. Dump the orange halves into the salad mix. Toss. If you have some Mandarin Orange juice place in a sauce pan and simmer until its reduced to a syrup. Mix with the Strawberry vinaigrette for a dressing. If not, simply serve with strawberry vinaigrette.
A word of advice, for some reason kids tend to temporarily lose their like of dinosaurs, after awhile, but later on when their more grown up the various dinosaur action movies that are periodically released may make them remember when they used to love dinosaurs. These old parties may be a nostalgic memory if you keep some souvenirs on hand.
