Did you know that the vibrations received by us through our sense of sight, hearing and
smell are very closely related so that a colour can make us think of a certain
smell.
It has been shown that our sense of smell like our sense of sound, ie certain
types of music, bypass the middle brain and can trigger some of our oldest memories.
Apparently the sense of smell is the last sense to be fully developed in man.
Smells are a vibration that affect the etheric body. Sometimes aroma might be
described as an invisible colour that is absorbed by the skin, the nose and
the etheric body then affecting the endocrine system. This is where treatment
using aromatherapy really comes into effect as essential oils heal physical,
emotional mental disturbances.
Colour is also associated with visible colour. For example, most of us like
the scent of rose, lily of the valley, lemon, orange pine etc, whilst the
majority of us find the odour of lard, rubber, fish, onions and vinegar unpleasant.
This is because the pleasant aromas are represented by clear light colours,
whereas the unpleasant odours are dark, muddy colours.
As we all probably know by now, our state of body is affected by our state of mind.
The skin obeys this rule too and is a very clear indication of our state of mind.
Essential oils fall into colour groups and can be used very effectively for healing.
