First thing, I will have to remark that the term is an oxymoron:”passive exercise”!

What kind of exercise is this when you remain passive?

It is a matter of common sense I think!

But maybe common sense is not eventually so common !

Definition of passive exercise

Passive exercise is that kind of exercise where the movements of the subject's muscles are not a result of his own will and effort.

They are induced from an external source, might it be a kind of machine or another nan.

From the above we can deduce some obvious conclusions:

-there is no appreciable stimulation of the heart muscle and the lungs

-consequently there is no significant raise in the heart rate

-so we cannot speak for any measurable weight/fat loss

-also we cannot rely on some dinstinct improvement of our cardiorespiratory fitness

-and definitely there is no room for muscle strength and muscle endurance increase

But all these conclusions are both logical and predictable!

Trying to exercise by sitting e.g. on a vibration platform-just to touch the latest fad-is clearly against human nature and evolutionary growth.

The evolution of the human body has always been relying on motion as human physiology preaches.

Despite this, every now and then jump into the forefront different fads, methods, gadgets and paraphernalia making outrageously unrealistic promises .

And there are always a lot of people ready to rise to the bait!

May I remind you of:

-the unmourned vibrating belts

-the electrical muscle stimulators

-the endless variations of rolling machines

-the fanciful garments and belts

-the imaginative wrappings

-and last but not least the vibration platforms with their tenths of scientifically unfounded and outrageous claims ??

*But why this form of collective deception always finds fertile ground in people's minds?

*Why people are not able to distinguish the obvious?

-Is it an innate laziness?

-Is it the desire for shortcuts and no sweat solutions?

Whatever it is,it feeds tenths of thousands of vultures of the fitness industry!

And it feeds them lavishly!!
