Oranges are one of the world's most popular citrus fruits. Originally from Southeast Asia, they are now grown in almost every area with an appropriate warm climate. While many people prefer to enjoy just the juice of this fruit, the whole orange possesses more impressive nutrition stats when consumed whole.

While oranges vary in size, it is possible to take some average nutritional values by looking at the content of 100 grams of the fruit. In this portion, there are roughly 50 calories and no fat at all. Additionally, some 87% of the orange is made up of water. This makes the orange a very diet-friendly fruit. Additionally, 100 grams of oranges are 12 percent carbohydrates, mostly from natural fruit sugars. However, some of these carbohydrates also come from fiber, and an average organe has 5 grams of this important nutrient. Since fiber is only found in the pulp, though, orange juice only has carbohydrates from sugar. Lastly, oranges have more protein than some other fruits, with almost 2 grams per orange.

The phrase Chelation has many different and unique connotations in different fields, for example in the terms of vigor, strength and nutrition it is referring to chelated supplements and minerals. But as soon as we refer chelation therapy, it is a process that is related to our body.

Chelated resources refer to the resources that take place outside our body. It shows that how many unusual minerals and supplements are processed in order to make chelated minerals.

Within the one’s body chelation processes point to how the chelating agent works on the minerals, supplements and molecules that are indeed not really good for our body. This process actually starts in the stomach of the human body and finishes it up in the small intestine. Essentially the process of chelation is wide ranging. This process of chelation mainly deals with working of EDTA that in the main component of chelation acts on poisonous and harmful substances.

Do you have a tuff time making it through the day without getting sluggish and sleepy? Does it ever happen to you that once you sit down it is so hard to get back up as your energy is zapped? If so it is more common than you might think, and you are not alone. Most likely the reason for your lack of energy is the food you give your body as fuel.

Your diet plays a vital role in your relationship with your feeling of being tired or full of energy. As most people always think they eat too much, it may actually be that you are not getting enough energy which causes your problems. More metabolisms are slowing down due to a lack of food as fuel throughout the day than overeating.

A Background Basis For A Healthy Life

Many years have passed since good health has become a master concern in our daily lives.
In today’s world we have begun to minimize that topic and now we are faced with medical problems which not only affect our bodily functions, but also creates distractions in our day to day activities.

Unfortunately many are raising their children on “fast foods” and manufactured packaged foods.

My interests and concerns in the area of optimal health is the result of my having been blessed by personally knowing and carrying on conversations with two of the greatest minds in the areas of both mental and physical good health. Unfortunately the benefits of their knowledge and findings are becoming limited in today’s medical and psychological worlds to books sitting on shelves in medial and dental school libraries sadly collecting dust in some cases.

Free radicals can pose a major threat to our health because they have the potential to damage our body at the cellular level. But what exactly is a free radical?

A free radical is an atom or molecule which contains an unpaired electron. Since electrons have a very strong tendency to exist in a paired state, free radicals try to steal electrons from other atoms and molecules. The danger they pose comes when they react with important cellular components in our body.

Free radicals usually steal from the nearest stable molecule, taking its electron. When the attacked molecule loses its electron, it becomes a free radical itself (because now it is missing an electron), which starts a chain reaction. One free radical starts a cascade of new free radicals in our body, finally resulting in the disruption of the living cell.

The body, blood, skin, organs, bones, mucous, phlegm, water, etc. build up and break down, largely according to the food, nutrients provided. Edema is the accumulation of fluid in the soft tissues. It can occur anywhere in the body: head, arms, legs, etc and is generally caused by poor diet and or weak digestion. Edema is more common in women than in men.

The body digests, transforms food, nutrients into blood, into structure into function, into health or disease. There are only two kinds of nutrients: building and cleansing. Building nutrients (protein and fat) build and fuel all structure and function. Cleansing nutrients (water, minerals, sugar, etc.) reduce, cleanse, cool and moisten.

Are you working out, and not seeing the results you want to see? First off, you really have to see a picture of what you want to look like in your mind. I mean, really see it. Then let your brain and body have you do the things to get you there. There are three nutrients, which your body produces, that increase lean body mass or muscle growth. The question is, Do we need more of them than the body produces? Let’s look at this situation.

To begin improving you nutritional status you need to take daily supplements, these are so critical to good health. Prime Essentials were created with this in mind, to get you started even before you test yourself using the Ideal Health’s PrivaTest. Originally only taken by “health nuts,” nowadays daily multivitamins or mineral supplements are taken as a norm. In the Journal of the American Medical Association, it was published in 2002 that vitamin supplementation was officially recommended for chronic disease prevention in adults and to quote the Harvard Medical School researchers in this study, “Pending strong evidence of effectiveness from randomized trials, it appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements.”

What if there were a significant identifiable risk factor for the cause of coronary heart disease, stroke and peripheral vascular disease (fatty deposits in peripheral arteries). Is this something that you would want to know about? More importantly would you want your doctor checking your status with regards to this risk factor during your checkups?

By significant I mean that 40% of the 12.5 million deaths due to strokes that occur globally each year are a result of this risk factor. What about the estimated 16.7 million people who die each year (globally) from cardiovascular disease. Of those 16.7 million this risk factor increased their risk of heart attack by 50%. Of course we hear a lot about Alzheimer’s disease, but we don’t hear that our chances of developing this disease are increased by 150% by this very same risk factor.
